The IPL match referee Farooq Engineer could be in trouble and if he is found guilty, he will face the action by IPL, said the Commissioner and Chairman of IPL, Lalit Modi.
He could be halued up for conduct that went against his position as match referee. He would be asked to explain wearing some team's dress and cheering up some teams during the matches. As match referee, he should be neutral and not show his support to any specific teams.
Apart from the issue of Harbhajan & Sreesanth, and Warne & Ganguly, the major issue is the slow-over rate. The match referee has ben asked to look into this issue more closely, said Lalit Modi.
