Viru Slams DDCA!

Virender Sehwag sent a shock wave across the cricket fans by by threatening to walk out of the Delhi Ranji Trophy team, alleging corruption in the selection procedure. The charge was rejected outright by the DDCA officials. His charges were:

"In Ranji Trophy selection, it has often happened that four selectors get together and vote for 'their' players, leaving the chairman of the committee and me defeated. Especially when I am on national duty, they put pressure on the stand-in captains and the interference becomes more rampant. This manipulation has been going on for many years. What is the point in continuing to play for such an association where there is so much corruption?"

Though DDCA officials denied this, whether Sehwag will continue to play after he meets Arun Jaitley, DDCA president later this month.

Sehwag is out of the Indian team for the forthcoming tri-series in Sri Lanaka with NZ as the third country and also the Champions Trophy. He is under going treatment for his injury. He was also involved in a controversy which triggered skipper Dhoni to lose control in a press conference.
