Xavier Marshall Test Postive!

Xavier Marshall of West Indies
The West Indies opening batsman Xavier Marshal tested positive in the drug test conducted during the camp in Antigua. He was in the list of provisionals for the Stanford Superstars squad to play against England in the Standford T20.

WICB confirmed this news and they said the attorneys are working on this matter and suitable action will be taken against the player.

The drug details were not disclosed and kept confidential.

Gayle Resigns!

What's happening to West Indies? No one has the right answer which could turn the West Indian cricket to its (g)olden days. Captains have resigned including Lara though he took charge again after discussion with the board.

The recentl development in West Indies is not a good one to WI Cricket. The captain Chris Gayle has submitted his resignation and it has reached the board. Unconfirmed internet sources give the reason as "he is not happy with the selection of team for the 3rd ODI against Australia."

Samuel to Appeal Against Ban!


West Indian all rounder Marlon Samuel, who was found guilty of dealing with bookmaker before a one-day match against India in Nagpur in January 2007.

He has been slapped with a two-year ban for leaking weather information to an Indian bookie during the Indian series.

The player has decided to move the court against the ban. The unofficialn news is that, he has the support of one of the members who imposed the ban.
