SRK vs. Ganguly

The second team is coming out openly with their differences. This time too, it is between the owner and the captain of the team, Kolkata Knight Riders.

It was said the rift has come out open. Owner Sharukh Khan is not happy for two reasons:

1. Heavy entertainment tax is being paid in the matches played in Kolkata. He approached captain Ganguly to talk to the Chief Minister to get waiver, which Ganguly did not listen to.

2. In the match against Chennai Super Kings, SRK wanted Ganguly to bowl, but he chose to bat. Kolkata lost by D/L method by 2 runs. The match was called off after the 8th over due dust storm and rain.

It seems that Ganguly is not happy because more powers were given to coach Buchanan.

Though the KKR denied the rift, it looks like they wanted to put it under the carpet for now.

It will be better if both of them focus on the remaining matches, win them and see whether luck helps them to enter the first four positions.

Kolkata Knight Riders ask 5 Players to leave Hotel!

In an apparent bid to cut costs, the Kolkata Knight Riders team management today "politely" asked five of its players, who are yet to feature in the side's 14-member squad in any match, to leave the team hotel.

The players are Ranadeb Bose, Cheteshwar Pujara, Sourasish Lahiri, Yashpal Singh and Hokkaido. One of the players said they were "politely given the option of either staying at the team hotel or going home."

"It was clear what the team management wants. Apparently coach John Buchannon feels that he has found his right combination and had no need for fringe players," one of the players said.

Asked about the learning experience, one of the player said, there was not much to learn. You learn only when you play and if you were not given the option, you don't learn. Asked about the tips and guidance from coach John Buchannon, the player said, he was always busy and was not approachable. He was busy with the experienced and senior players who are playing in the game, which is right.

The disappointed lads had to vacate the hotel and start focusing on the domestic games and try for an opportunity to get into the Indian squad.

What thought to be morale boosting and experience providing event, it turned out to be morale disaster for few!
